			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Here&#8217;s an opportunity to utilize your technical expertise in mass spectrometry and join Agilent&#8217;s Life Science Applications Support Group. We are seeking an enthusiastic, people-oriented Applications Scientist for Agilent&#8217;s Life Science and Chemical Analysis (LSCA) proteomics products portfolio. <span id="more-128"></span>In this role your primary focus will be to provide customers with post-sales application and technical support to ensure their success and satisfaction. The typical customer workflow includes the Multiple Affinity Removal System (MARS), the Agilent 3100 Offgel Fractionator, Macroporous Reverse Phase C18 Column and Agilent 1200 HPLC-Chip/MS system. These tools expand the dynamic range of current LC/MS and electrophoretic analytical methods for analyzing complex biological fluids and can be used to customize workflows including protein identification, characterization or biomarker discovery.</p>
<p><strong>Key responsibilities</strong>:<br />
- Provide post-sales technical and applications assistance in response to customer inquiries for Agilent and Stratagene&#8217;s proteomics products portfolio: (MARS, LC, BioAnalyzer, Trap, TOF, QQQ and QTOF, TAP).<br />
- Delivering customer consulting and application support both remotely and at the customer site when needed.<br />
- Interfacing with customers to answer questions and provide training using Agilent LC/MS products.<br />
-Developing customer workflow solutions that include the Multiple Affinity Removal System, the Agilent 3100 Offgel Fractionator, Macroporous Reverse Phase C18 Column and Agilent 1200 HPLC-Chip/MS system.</p>
<p>Additional responsibilities:<br />
- Conducting in-house demonstrations to showcase our state of the art mass spectrometry products<br />
- Assist the sales team in developing end-to-end solutions sales to meet the customer&#8217;s needs<br />
- Contributing in the development of new applications for the Mass Spectrometry product line including writing application notes to highlight product capabilities and making contributions to recognized scientific forums, including written, oral and poster presentations.<br />
- Promoting Agilent&#8217;s and Stratagene&#8217;s proteomics products and aiding in the training of Sales Force, as well as evaluating, and providing feedback to management on new products prior to release.<br />
- Providing reports on activities in the field on a regular basis to Product Marketing and monitors technical trends in the markets we serve.<br />
- Preparing and presenting technical seminars to customers, potential customers and works with Agilent&#8217;s Product Specialists to aid in the development of technical sales strategies.</p>
<p>Qualifications:</p>
<p>- PhD in Chemistry or Biology or Biochemistry or equivalent<br />
- 5+ years lab experience in the field of Mass Spectrometry<br />
- Experience with a broad range of LC/MS instrumentation<br />
- Industry experience specifically providing technical support for a sales organization or providing technical seminars to an audience is a plus.<br />
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications skills<br />
- Strong project management experience skills.</p>
<p>Geo Location: San Diego, CA.</p>
<p>Travel: 10% of the time</p>

POSITION DESCRIPTION- This individual will support the firm&#8217;s efforts to enhance its ability to attract and retain PhD candidates into the Sales &amp; Trading Division. This position will be located in the New York, New York office.<br />

POSITION SUMMARY-The Sales &amp; Trading Division is launching a formal recruiting and training program in order to recruit PhDs as Desk Strategists and Quantitative Modelers. The PhD Recruitment Program Director will be responsible for the build-out of this function. The PhD Recruitment Program Director will provide strategic leadership, design and day-to-day management of the campus recruiting team. The focus of this position will be to work with the Global Head of Recruiting to define the campus strategy, conduct recruiting efforts, enhance metrics and provide insight and creativity to program management.</p>
<p>RESPONSIBILITIES- Work closely with Sales &amp; Trading Division Heads to direct all program and campus recruiting activities and initiatives.</p>
<p>Manage and implement the campus divisional strategy working closely with the business leaders and steering.  Lead and provide strategic direction to campus recruiting team.</p>
<p>Initiate, develop and manage recruiting metrics, including ROI and impact of target schools for business leaders, team captains and management.</p>
<p>Responsible for ensuring that recruiting efforts are coordinated with the divisions and Firm&#8217;s diversity strategies.</p>
<p>In partnership with the Head of Global Recruiting, and program heads, develop and implement programs including, the calendar of events, rotations if applicable and placements.</p>
<p>Point of contact with Talent Management teams and Learning &amp; Development for program coordination</p>
<p>Design and implement metrics and guidelines that consistently measure the efficiency and cost effectiveness of campus recruiting efforts.</p>
<p>Bachelors Degree.  Previous experience as a Professor, Graduate Advisors/Assistants, PhD Program Director, Career Center, Industry Affiliation or Corporate Affairs professional is highly valued in a finance program.  Extensive network within the PhD academic community i.e. Professors, Graduate Advisors/Assistants, PhD Program Director, Career Center, Industry Affiliation or Corporate Affairs professionals.  Previous experience in the education, recruiting or curriculum development of PhD students Willingness to travel domestically and internationally with regularity.  Demonstrate ability to lead projects and drive change within assigned tasks.  Excellent relationship management, negotiation, influencing, and organizational skills.  Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities.  Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment</p>
