We are seeking a forward-thinking individual to join the Complexities in Bioengineering Research Team. Our team culture emphasizes innovation, creativity and meaningful collaboration. Rather than following traditional methods, the Complexities in Bioengineering Research Team uses an innovative organizational and operational structure to promote high productivity and high impact research.

This is accomplished by continually integrating the best ideas and methods from many other fields into our research methods and organization. The goal of our team is to provide optimal training and developmental opportunities for each member, while simultaneously improving research efficiency and producing influential research.

The Complexities in Bioengineering Research Team examines aspects of bioengineering that make it unique from other engineering disciplines. Representative research topics include techniques for addressing the high levels of variability exhibited by biological systems, stochastic modeling, computational modeling of biomechanics and biological fluid flow. Topics of future research projects involve creating synthetic physical models of the human speech system and identifying the most influential structural properties of crops, so that plant breeding techniques can be more effectively used to develop stronger crop varieties. We are also always open to new research directions.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will have opportunities for pursuing his/her own research interests, collaborating on existing projects, writing research proposals and starting new research projects.

Applicants from all fields are welcomed. Persons with backgrounds in biomedical imaging, mechanical failure analysis, biomimetics, statistics, stochastic modeling or reliability analysis, are especially encouraged to apply.
