The interdisciplinary research group Optimization and Systems Engineering (OSE) at Åbo Akademi University in Finland was recently appointed a Center of Excellence within research at the university for the time-period 2010-2014.

We are now searching for 1-3 PhD students in any of the following areas:

* optimization,
* systems engineering,
* systems theory or
* mathematical statistics.
