Post-doc Position in Data Mining and Machine Learning

The Constraints and Machine Learning research group at the Laboratoire LIFO (http://www.univ-orleans.fr/lifo/) is seeking post doctoral candidates with background in Data Mining, Machine Learning and Data Analysis methods for a one year appointment starting at the latest in January 2010.

Requirements:

The prospective candidates must:

  • have a PhD in Computer Science or Mathematics (at the latest in November 2009).
  • not have the French citizenship and not be member or doctor of a French university
  • have knowledge in the theoretical aspects of one or more of the following:
    • Machine Learning : Statistical and Relational Learning
    • Clustering and categorization
    • Evaluation methodologies
    • Data Analysis
    • Knowledge Discovery
    • Generative Models for Data Mining
  • have well-developed social skills directed to work in a team;
  • have a good command of English

The position offers:

  • a full time appointment for a period of 12 months
  • about 1900 euros net monthly salary
  • attractive and good working environments
