The University recognises that studying overseas is a major undertaking, both personally and financially, and aims to assist international students who require financial assistance with scholarships and awards specifically for International students. However, University funding is limited.

The University of Sheffield is pleased to offer a range of scholarships to students of high academic ability from Singapore for September 2008 entry.

Singapore 50% Undergraduate Scholarship 2008
There is one 50% Singapore Undergraduate Scholarship, available for a Singaporean student starting their undergraduate degree studies in September 2008.

The scholarship is worth 50% of your undergraduate course tuition fee per year.
To be eligible for the Singapore 50% Undergraduate Scholarship 2008, applicants must be a Singaporean national or permanently domiciled in Singapore, apply for a study place by 4 April 2008 and hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2008.
The Singapore 50% Undergraduate Scholarship 2008 is awarded on the basis of academic merit.

If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply. Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply from January 2008 onwards.
Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.

It is important to apply as early as possible as demand for places on undergraduate degree programmes often exceeds the number of places available. You do not need to wait for final examination results or references before you apply for a study place.

All applications for undergraduate study in the UK, including The University of Sheffield, must be made through an organisation called Universities and Colleges Admissions Service or UCAS.
All applications must be made online through the UCAS website.

All undergraduate degree programmes at the University of Sheffield begin in September each year. We do not have an intake in January or February.
