Writing a college scholarship essays may seem useless - until you understand why the scholarship committee needs them. This article will help you reduce stress and see the wider picture.
Why scholarships to write an essay? Scholarships require essays on three simple reasons. As you can see below, the reason is quite simple:
1. Your literacy. Scholarship committee wants to award money to someone literate and educated - to a point. There is no need to be able to write like Jane Austen or Earnest Hemingway to get a scholarship. But writing essays shows solid you can communicate and use more education.
2. Their values. You will write what you think and what you believe, for the most part. You essays will be on your values, and the scholarship committee will see those. For individual awards, the value can be important. Scholarships may be an effort to continue the trip or reward certain ideas. If aligned with the mission, you stand a better chance to get a scholarship.
3. Your Character. You express your personality in your essays, as well as some of the show itself. When you receive private scholarships, your name is always on their list of recipients. To convey a good reputation, you will give them some confidence that you represent them well in the future. For example, you can call Rhodes Scholar?
Showing at the scholarship committee that you are in your college scholarship essays, and by that I mean you have the best hand, the committee can get a sense of what you will do in life and if they will help you to a good end, a worthy goal.
A few other pointers: You want your essays come good. Look essay samples to familiarize themselves with the winner of an essay. With others, such as teachers, and friends, check your essay to catch errors in grammar, spelling, word use, and style.
Last and most important: “Apply”. No one will criticize you for the application of more scholarships. Take a few minutes to assess if you qualify, and, if so, go ahead and apply. Some need to have that scholarship, and get money for college, why not you?

1. I find my self having, a big interest to study abroad.
2. with my fiew year experience working at tourism industry, as my part time job. so there will be no problem for me to bland with other student.

Every body likes to get scholarship because it`s so great and can make them proud. They don`t need to spent much money for their study instead of their inability of economy.

I’m Emilia from Indonesia. Since few years ago, I’ve found myself been worrying about the future of my nation. Since Soeharto lost his power in May 1998, Indonesia had fallen into multidimentional crisist. Nobody has ever saved us. All of the Indonesian suffering from this terrible condition. The most suffering one, are those who live under the inprosperous condition. They cry, but government still incresing the price. They scream, but nobody cares. When I look at this condition, I feel guility. I’m sad. I hate I can do nothing useful to repair this unwanted condition. Is anybody there who can heal this nation? We are going down, and we need help to struggle up.
when I realize this, I promise myself, I have to be one of the people who tries to heal his own nation. For those reason, I need knowledge. Studying abroad could help me much. But how could my parents support me? They are not that reach. I have to find another way to solve this financial problem. And one of those way is getting the scholarship.
I promise myself, if I am blessed to have this chance, I’ll do my best in my study. I’ll do my best in healing this country. I must tell you that, I don’t have three reasons. I only get one strong reason. And if I can have that scholarship, I will be forever thankful.

these are the reasons i have to get the scholarship :
1. learn to be autonomous and brave.
2. i don’t want to miss this golden opportunity. hope that i could reach my dreams and get better education then help parents.
3. staying abroad and making socialization with “world people” are the other purpose. just make a peace in the world.

there are many reasons why we want to get a scholarship, it maybe a dream for us to get one, but dreams do come true if you believe.
first, i want to have a scholarship to help me get in a better job and try to help and provide my family their daily needs.
second, to learn from other cultures, not to compare them with my present culture, but to help me understand how it can help me to learn from others
Lastly, to be independent and learn to provide something for my self without others providing what i need.

Actually,as we are human beings,we bear thousands of dreams.Sometimes we obviously know that some of them can never be achieved in this lifetime.But still we hesitate to give them up. Personally,I believe that single positive thought has a great power in leading us to the victory.That’s why I never give up my effort for searching a scholarship.
