04.17Environmental Research and Education Foundation Scholarships
The scholarships are awarded by EREF to recognize excellence in master’s, doctoral or post-doctoral research on waste management and education. The awards are given in memory of François Fiessinger, PE, Ph.D., a graduate of Rutgers University, who was founding director of the foundation, by the Environmental Research and Education Foundation, and Robert P. Stearns, PE, DEE / SCS Engineers, past president of the EREF.
REQUIREMENTS
Applications will be considered from those who:
- Will this year and are now full-time graduate student, doctorate or post-doctorate, and
- Have a clearly demonstrated interest in research on waste management.
The scholarships graduate students to recognize excellence in the pursuit of research on waste management and education. Recipients are selected on the basis of authority and potential contributions to the solid waste industry and its scientific contributions to the solid waste industry and its scientific community.
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR RANGE
The amounts allocated to take into account tuition at the institution of the beneficiary and any other funds received. Full scholarships may be granted to students who receive scholarships to full tuition from other sources (excluding direct aid universities such as the remission of tuition fees and / or revenue from assistantships), although these students may still be considered for partial. Doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships are awarded each year up to $ 12000 each, paid monthly, and may be renewed for an additional two years (a total of three years). Master’s Fellowships are awarded for an amount up to $ 5000 per year, renewable for a total of two years. Progress must be certified annually by the academic advisor of the student.
